    Age 4+ (or coach referral) This program is perfect for young athletes ready to take their steps into the world of gymnastics. This class offers gymnasts a time to become familiar with equipment, learn fundamental skills while moving in structured rotations. Please enter in the back of the High School at Door 25. Required: Leotard and hair pulled up in a ponytail.
  • Boys In-house Basketball (Grades 2–3)

    This program is designed for boys in 2nd and 3rd grade who are ready to take the next step in their basketball journey. Players will continue developing the fundamentals of dribbling, passing, shooting, and defense while being introduced to more structured game play. Each session will focus on building skills, teamwork, and confidence in a supportive environment. Session Format: 20 minutes of warm-ups and skill development (drills to improve ball-handling, shooting form, passing, and defense) 40 minutes of game play with coaches refing to help players learn the rules of the game Program Details: Days/Times: Mondays & Wednesdays, One-hour sessions between 6:30–8:30 pm (specific times assigned after registration) Locations: St. Francis Elementary, East Bethel Elementary, Cedar Creek Elementary What to Bring: Gym shoes, water bottle, and energy to learn and play Experience: No prior basketball experience required Volunteer Coaches Needed: This program relies on parent and community volunteers to coach and guide players. Coaches will help organize warm-ups, lead skill activities, and coach games. Training and resources are provided—just bring your enthusiasm for working with kids and sports!

Head coaches are offered 50% off registration (refunded after the season). Our Recreation Basketball program is part of the MYAS - Northern Twin Cities Basketball League. This league includes teams from Anoka, Blaine, Columbia Heights, Coon Rapids, Davinci Academy, Fridley, Spring Lake Park and St. Francis. This fun yet competitive league introduces the fundamentals of basketball and provides a safe environment for players to improve their game. If there are not enough participants to form a St. Francis team we may combine age groups or co-op with other programs. Participants will be placed on teams, have practices and play games against peer teams. Games are hosted by the communities in the league with most of our games being played at Anoka, Blaine, and Coon Rapids schools. Teams will have two to three days of basketball per week consisting of two games and two practices. Practices could be either Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday with games on Saturdays and Sundays. Practices/games will start in December and go through February. Teams will play approximately 10 to 12 games plus the end-of-year tournament (Feb 28th - Mar 1st) Registration Deadline is November 24th.     Introduce your child to the fundamentals of basketball in a fun and supportive environment! This program is designed for kindergarten and 1st grade boys and girls who are just starting out. Players will learn the basics of dribbling, passing, shooting, and teamwork through age-appropriate drills and activities. Each session will emphasize skill development, sportsmanship, and having fun while building confidence on the court. Session Format: 20 minutes of warm-ups and skill-building (dribbling, passing, shooting, defense) 40 minutes of game play to put skills into action Program Details: Days/Times: Tuesday & Thursdays, 6:30–7:30 pm Locations: St. Francis Elementary, East Bethel Elementary, Cedar Creek Elementary What to Bring: Gym shoes, water bottle, and a positive attitude Experience: No prior basketball experience required Volunteer Coaches Needed: This program depends on parent and community volunteers to coach teams. No coaching background is required—resources and guidance are provided. Coaches help run warm-ups, guide skill instruction, and facilitate games to ensure all players learn and have fun.   • Fighting Saints Dance Club

    Join us for the Fighting Saints Dance Club Team coached by SFDT Coaches. This new program is open to students going into 5th & 6th grade for the 2025-2026 school year. 5th graders will meet once a week and 6th graders will meet twice a week, working on dance skills, learning a routine, and finishing up the season performing at the St. Francis Dance Team Showcase held at St. Francis High School. There may be additional performance opportunities as well!     This program is perfect for gymnasts who have a foundation in basic skills and are ready to take the next step in their gymnastics journey. Participants will work on improving their strength, flexibility, and coordination while learning intermediate-level skills on the floor, balance beam, uneven bars, and vault. This is a great opportunity for young gymnasts to continue developing their abilities in a fun and encouraging environment.

Transportation Departure: 2:45 p.m. from St. Francis High School Return: Approximately 10:00 p.m. Students must be picked up promptly at 10:00 p.m. (no re-entry into the building will be allowed).     Girls and Boys ages 2 to 4 Tumbling Tots is a semi-structured class that focuses on developing basic motor skills, coordination, and confidence through playful activities and gentle guidance. Engaging activities that blend gymnastics fundamentals such as balance, flexibility, and strength with creative play. There will be one coach for every ten kids. Required: Leotard and hair pulled up in a ponytail.
  • Youth Dance Clinic

    Come dance with the St. Francis Saints Dance Team! The St. Francis Dance Team is hosting a youth clinic on Saturday, October 4th for all athletes in Kindergarten-6th grade. Those attending should wear athletic/dance clothing and tennis shoes. Athletes will learn 2 dances to perform at the St. Francis Fall Dance Team Showcase. Athletes will also perform at the St. Francis High School Football game at home on Friday October 10th
