Saints Youth Tackle Football is for players in grades 2-8 (your child's grade starting in the Fall 2024) and is organized by the Community Education Department. The league participates in the northwest metro area. Schedules are controlled by the league, not the Rec Department. Team practices will be set by the coaches with at least two practices a week. Teams are selected by a draft and no team requests will be honored.

  • Tackle Football Grades 2-8

    If you are interested in coaching please fill out the Online Coaches Application St. Francis Youth Football is part of the TCNFL league for 7-8th grade and NSFL for 2-6th grade. This is a competitive league that plays other communities with 2nd-8th grade tackle football teams. 2nd-6th grade coaches are instructed to always be working towards equal playing time. 7th-8th grade coaches are instructed that playing time is based on ability. There is no guarantee for equal playing time. Registration deadline is July 7th. Equipment Hand-Out and Player Evaluations will be on August 6th-8th at the St. Francis Middle School fields. Time - 5pm-7pm (We will not hand out equipment if the player is not present) Equipment provided: Helmet, Shoulder Pads, and Pants that you will return at the completion of the season. Players receive a game jersey, socks and a mouth guard that is theirs to keep. Players are responsible for their own cleats. Team drafts will be held after Player Evaluations to determine grade level rosters. Team practices will start the week of August 12th. There are no specific days or times set up for each grade level. Coaches will communicate with their team on times and locations. Before the league season begins coaches are allowed to have up to 4 days of practices per week. Once the season starts coaches are allowed 3 days a week, including the game. League games will begin September 7th. Last thing. Make sure to tell your friends so they don't miss the deadline.
