About Pebbles/Stepping Stones

ECFE is a place where parent or grandparents and young children learn and play together and can meet other families with young children. We are one of nearly 350 in the state of Minnesota offered through school districts. We believe all families deserve support, information, and opportunities to be involved in their children's learning. We recognize that parents are the first and most important teachers of their children. ECFE provides information on getting ready for school, discipline, child development, communication and growing together as a family.

This is a separating class.

Designed to transition your child from Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) into preschool. During fall semester, child and caregiver attend Pebbles class together. There is time for child and adult to be together; time for adult interaction along with a parent educator in another room; and time for child to work with their peers, and an Early Childhood Teacher, learning new skills. During the spring semester, the child will attend Stepping Stones independently. Staff do not change diapers, but are ready to assist children in their independent management of their toileting. Sibling care is offered during the fall semester for a fee. If unable to pay the spring/Stepping Stones fee in full, please call the ECFC office at 763-753-7170 for payment options.
