  • Family Fishing Instruction

    Ages 5+ Spend some quality family time together outdoors learning basic fishing skills. Angling staff will provide all the equipment and knowledge needed to catch fish, which you will spend most of the time trying to do.

    This class will provide participants with the fundamentals of fantasy football. If you are new to fantasy football, this is the class for you! Participants will learn how to draft players (there will be a mock 4 round draft), understand important terms and abbreviations needed to succeed in fantasy football, be provided tools (websites) that make it fun and easy compete week to week, and how to begin a league. Participants will learn how fun and easy fantasy football can be.

  • Girls Basketball Camp - 6th -12th Grade

    Basketball camp will focus on the necessary individual skills and team development concepts required to be a successful basketball player. Camp will focus on player development teaching the skills of shooting, passing, catching, ball-handling as well as individual and team defense. Bring a water bottle and basketball shoes.

    This camp is recommended for the High School Gymnastics team, to work on new skills for the upcoming HS competition season.
  • HORSE DAY CAMP

    Kids will learn what it's like to have a horse for a day! Campers get to ride in the indoor and/or outdoor arenas for 40min-50min (no trails), practice how to steer, stop, turn, and walk on their own. They also might make horse treats, do a craft, and play games. And don't forget the time to meet and care for the horses, which is a big part of ownership! Campers are broken into smaller groups based on similar riding experience and age, which is perfect for both new and more experienced riders! Camps are held rain or shine, as we have an indoor barn and arena. Sorry we do not allow parents to stay for the day. Parents are required to drop off and pick up. WHAT DO CAMPERS NEED TO BRING? ●Long pants, closed toe shoes, appropriate clothes for weather inside and outside of barn. ●No flip flops. ●Sunscreen/hat/bug spray ●Water bottle/drinks/snacks and a lunch (lunch only for day camps) ●Treats for the horses if you want Helmets are provided.

  • Jim Berner

    In the early years Jim always loved singing but never joined a choir. His first guitar, purchased around 1958 and by 1960 he started a three piece garage band. By the late 1970s, a guitar and amp from a garage sale rekindled Jim's music. Days were spent running his sign business and music programs, guitar, karaoke and DJ had taken over the nights. Jim formed another band in the early 1990s, singing three part harmony songs and they did very well for about six years, playing every weekend at local twin city venues. During that time Jim also began solo senior programs at city senior centers and residences and private parties. Jim has always been interested in the history of the older music and the audiences enjoyed hearing factual information and stories of the old popular entertainers. In 2001 Jim made his first appearance at the Minnesota State Fair Senior Luncheons. In 2005 he began singing at the Ramberg stage at the state fair and has been there every year until covid in 2021. Over the past thirty years Jim has completed more than 2,500 shows for city programs, 19 years with music for Special Olympics, farmers markets, church programs, county fairs, three casinos, Mall of America, birthday and anniversary parties and many, many senior residences throughout Minnesota. Jim's music programs today consist of songs and stories of the best singers of country, pop, jazz, folk and Rock n Roll. of the 1940's thru 1970's.

Larry’s Bio: Known for his family singalong music and the “Wide Mouth Frog'', Larry Swenson has been singing and playing piano all around the world. Larry was a pianist for two casts of the musical show, “Up With People.” He has performed for and taught thousands of people across the United States, Canada, Mexico, El Salvador, Guatemala, Argentina, Venezuela, Morocco, India, Bangladesh, China, Japan, Russia, Sweden, Austria, Switzerland, Germany and Belgium. Once a 4-H Educator in northwest Minnesota, Larry worked with teens to create educational musical shows for young people. One of these shows, the "Pollution Solution", was performed at the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C., and in 5 states, for which he received the 'Clean Rivers" award from the Governor of Minnesota. For 50 years, Larry has performed in and directed musical shows including the educational experience “The Minnesotan and the Mexican” and the celebration for the anniversary of the Historic Holmes Theatre. His longest “gig” was producing and directing the longest running musical show in the entire Midwest at a well-known northern Minnesota resort! He has recorded three CD’s of international children’s songs. These days you can find him still singing and playing in schools, camps, community centers, churches and libraries.

  • Mark Stillman - Accordion Man Oktoberfest

    Mark Stillman, accordion, specializes in the folk music of many cultures, including Eastern European (Bulgarian, Rumanian, Hungarian, Serbian, Macedonian and Czech), Greek, Celtic, French and Italian, in addition to Klezmer and Russian music. A classically-trained percussionist, he is a self taught accordionist who learned much of his repertoire in his travels through Eastern Europe. he has been a featured soloist with the Minnesota Orchestra, Minneapolis Pops Orchestra, Milwaukee Symphony, Minnesota Sinfonia, the Dallas Brass and on Prairie Home Companion. He has also performed for the recordings of the multi-ethnic rock group Boiled in Lead. Most recently Mark was recently featured in the Variety section of the Star Tribune he has been performing for almost 50 years!
